What Are You Really Measuring?

Peru 2024

“For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul? Or what can a man give in return for his soul?”
- Marqos (Mark) 8: 36-37

At one point, I believed that if I was tracking numbers, I was in control.

More clients, more clicks, more revenue. It looked like progress.

But then I asked myself… progress toward what?

I’ve had seasons where the numbers went up, but my peace went down. Where I was more “visible,” but less connected. Where the data looked clean, but my mission felt cloudy.

That’s when I realized: not all numbers are sacred. And some metrics can move you further from your purpose, not closer to it.

Clarity Isn’t Found in More Data

We track because it feels responsible. But information without discernment is just noise.

What you choose to measure speaks volumes about what you value. If you’re tracking followers, are you chasing validation—or building relationships? If you’re watching revenue, are you also watching expenses, sustainability, and margin?

Some of the most important signals don’t show up in your analytics dashboard.

  • A returning client

  • A heartfelt referral

  • A week with no burnout

  • A yes that came from alignment, not desperation

These are sacred metrics. And they deserve your attention.

Track Less, Align More

What if you simplified your metrics?

What if you chose one number to guide you this season?

Not just because it looks good on paper, but because it brings you closer to peace, presence, and purpose.

The goal isn’t to eliminate structure. It’s to refine it.

To stop measuring what looks impressive, and start measuring what feels aligned.

Reflection: If you could only track one metric in your business right now, one that reflects your mission, what would it be?

Shalom, everyone!
